Tools for Teams: Real-Time Virtual Supports for BC (Webinar)
Team Up! Team-Based Primary & Community Care in Action is a webinar and podcast series that aims to connect individuals and teams, identify tools to apply to current work underway and share experiences in team-based care across the province.
Dr. Brydon Blacklaws and Katrina Bepple from the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) provided an overview and demonstration of the Real-Time Virtual Support service. Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) pathways enhance health equity in rural, remote, and First Nations communities across British Columbia by connecting rural healthcare providers and patients to RTVS Virtual Physicians via Zoom or telephone. There are two types of pathways—those for health care providers, and those for patients. This was a popular talk at Quality Forum earlier this year and we are pleased to have been able to offer this encore, enhanced presentation highlighting the continued expansion of supports that RTVS provides and learn how this could be a tool for your team.
