This is the third installment of Team Up! Team-Based Primary & Community Care in Action that aims to connect individuals and teams, identify tools to apply to current work underway and share experiences in team-based care across the province.

This webinar takes a deep dive on “how” to coach teams and individuals to use a team-based care approach by focusing on specific supports and coaching methods.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the role of a coach in supporting and sustaining Team-Based Care.
  • Learn how to use tools that can be applied when working with teams as they develop.
  • Relate your experience(s) with team-based care to others working in primary and community care teams across BC.
  • Identify opportunities for strengthening team-based care at your local sites.

Speaker Bios

Charleigh Rudy

Charleigh Rudy is currently the South Peace Division Coordinator and Team-Based Care Coach, where there is a strong focus on partnership, meeting the unique needs of each community through a primary care network lens and enhancing patient care through foundational Team-Based Care work. She’s a Registered Nurse and has had the opportunity to work in various settings across the health sector including Emergency Nursing, Primary Care Nursing, and Oncology Nursing in addition to teaching the Practical Nursing Program at our local College.

Darlene Arsenault

Currently the Director of Primary Care Planning in Interior Health, where a focus on Team-Based Care is foundational to the work of primary care networks and specialized community service programs moving forward. Past work includes being Director of Rehabilitation in Interior Health and a practicing Occupational Therapist with a long history of using team-based care.

Wendy Boyer

Wendy is pleased to have supported Family Physicians and Primary Care Teams in the SOS for over 10 years with the Practice Support Program, most recently adding the role as a Provincial TBC Enhanced Coach with the Practice Support Program – Doctors of B.C. Her past work has included Integrated Health Networks (IHNs), Laboratory Sciences in Acute Care and studies at Royal Roads University in Health Systems Leadership and Coaching for Leadership.

PSP Coaches support Primary Care Providers and Teams to identify opportunities to operate at an ideal level to do their best work. Wendy believes this foundational work in the Primary Care Home enhances the system change underway in B.C.
