The Gateway to Team-Based Care (Information Session)

This 90-minute information session on December 8, 1200 – 1330 PT, will introduce participants to UBC Health’s Gateway to Team-Based Care project, a multidimensional initiative that focuses on educating health professionals in team-based care with a newly developing primary care clinic at the UBC Vancouver campus. The Gateway to Team-Based Care will support learners from across the health disciplines to work and learn in a team environment with collaborative interprofessional education—envisioned as a cornerstone to support team-based education across British Columbia.

Participants will hear about the premise and progress of the project, including: its place in interprofessional team training at UBC and beyond; the level and scope of care the clinic will provide; the many partners and collaborators; and the current path to realization. Most importantly, participants will learn about opportunities to become involved in the development of the Gateway to Team-Based Care and to stay engaged throughout the development and beyond.
